Your Chance To Join Portal Feeder!

Portal Feeder - Doors Closed!

News update! Unfortunately Portal Feeders doors are closed once again and we’re not sure when they will re-open. The best thing to do is pre-register today. Then when the doors re-open you’ll be informed via email….

Portal feeder is opening its doors again soon – but is it worth the price?

If you have been involved with Internet marketing for any length of time, you have likely heard about Portal Feeder.

It was first launched on 6th December 2005 but only stayed open for 24 hours. Amazingly, it managed to take 600 new members in that short time. It stayed shut until April 2007, when it allowed a few new members to join up. Again, it sold out very quickly because of the buzz around it.

Apparently, they only wanted a limited number of people in order to focus on upgrading the software and improving the training system.

Anyway, how does this relate to you? Good question.

Portal Feeder last re-opened on December 7th for only the 2nd time since the initial launch. Obviously there are a lot of stories on the Internet already and as a current member, I wanted to provide an impartial review of what I taken from the program and reveal if I thought the money has been well spent.

Ok. What does Portal Feeder actually do?

Here’s a quick rundown…

Essentially, it is a very smart software system that helps you to build a marketing empire online. By this, I mean it gives you the means to build websites and portals for any product and then integrate the most powerful means of spreading your marketing net far and wide.

Like many people, I was creating all my websites by hand via dreamweaver or FrontPage. I would literally spend hours writing the content and designing the templates. I would then copy the template for each page I needed, insert the relevant content, link the pages together and upload them via an FTP client.

On top of this, I would have to constantly update the websites with new pages to keep them fresh to ensure the search engines kept coming back. It was an endless cycle and quite tiresome as each task was done separately and nothing was automated.

On top of that, I also spent a lot of time promoting my sites with articles and submitting them to directories and other websites to gain back links.

You see, this was just the way I thought it had to be done. When I first got my copy of portal Feeder I was a little shocked with the template driven software and the tokens that were needed to create the websites.

Needless to say, it was all brand new to me. I began to learn how to use the tokenised system and pretty soon I became adept at putting together quick and simple websites. Secondly, I had to learn about “dripping” content.

Surprisingly enough, this turned out to be easier than I had imagined. Rather than creating one page at a time and uploading it via an FTP client, I now had to create a directory of text files and program the sever to feed them to my website.

The pages are now uploaded in a random fashion over time, hence the name “dripping content”. I’ll explain more about this concept in a moment when I analyse the main features.

Make no mistake, there is a learning curve involved, but the time that is spent in the training phase really paid off for me personally.

In fact, the creators of Portal Feeder understood the requirements for specialised training and put steps in place to accommodate new members and owners. In essence, they provide several mentors who are always on hand to offer personal advice and answer question via the forum boards.

Besides this, each member also get s a personal mentor assigned to them when they join. I will come back to that later, but for now…

Here’s some of what Portal Feeder can do

  • Import and publish SEO friendly content
  • Bring in articles
  • Use RSS feeds
  • Hold product catalogues
  • Integrate data feeds
  • Import and use website templates for fast building
  • Get websites listed in the SERPs quickly
  • Bring in quality, high PR links for SEO
  • Find niche blogs to post comments to

Plus a lot more…

In fact, the portal feeder software suite is an advanced set of website building tools.

How does it work?

There are a number of modules that work together to build your portal. But better yet, they are template driven, using tokens that are dropped into place (as previously mentioned). This is a huge time saving device and increases the speed of website development and deployment.

On top of this, you have the facility to naturally grow your blogs and websites over time. This is accomplished by a system that automatically feeds your websites fresh, new content based on a time schedule you set. This one of my favourite features as I can simply load content into the system one time, and then move on to the next project, knowing that my portal will just grow page by page on autopilot.

Moreover, my sites just grow naturally over the future weeks and months, depending on the amount of content I have loaded into the system. I generally check them every month or so to keep the content topped up.

Specifics of the Portal Feeder software:

Portal Article feeder: this tool allows you to share content with other members of the Portal Feeder community. In a nutshell, it allows you gain valuable, high quality content for your own sites while also taking advantage of the back links generated from sharing. Plus, the content currently stored on the CMS totals over 250,000 separate pieces, which you can tap into, and use wherever you choose.

You do not need a separate installation of this software, it simply comes as standard with the Portal Feeder software suite. The article feeder is actually a complete content management system, allowing you to store all your content, from multiple sources.

The software also gives you (as webmaster) complete control over the look and feel of the content. You can customise the final result by selecting a rotated or randomised option. This feature works alongside the Content Automator, which I will discuss now.

Portal Builder: this is the desktop software that you install locally. It also acts as the master control panel by proving you quick access to multiple options and settings for building and updating all your portals quickly and easily.

Portal Content Automator: this is one of the best features of the entire software system in my view. The content automator allows you to drip content to your portal in a natural fashion, which is undetectable by the search engines. Not only do you have multiple sites growing on auto-pilot that the SERP’s cant detect, you also have the huge advantage of automation. This means that your time is free to focus on building your businesses, instead of being consumed in the day-to-day tasks.

This feature alone has saved me hundreds of man-hours, especially considering the way I used to work (which I mentioned above).

Portal Blog Feeder: the feature allows your sites to gain dozens of quality back links to facilitate a needed boost in the search engines and increase your traffic. It actually makes finding back links very easy as your website can integrate with the network of portal feeder blogs.

In fact, there are over 600 blogs inside the network. The process allows you to submit linked articles into the network and receive back links in this manner.

Portal Feeder Link Exchange: in short, this tool allows you to gain a slow and steady number of one-way links from market related websites. You simply need to place a small piece of code on your site and then submit it. It’s very quick and simple to do and I have found it very effective in generating traffic from the search engines.

The bottom line is that it takes time to learn about the various modules and to build proficiency when using them. But, they all work and integrate together effortlessly so you won’t have to figure out how to configure the software. You just have watch the training guides, practice and jump right in.

There is a huge amount of training material provided which lays out the basics and demonstrates how user friendly the system really is. Lets take a look at that in more detail.

What else comes with the membership?

One of the big reasons that I first signed up (besides the software) was because of the membership site itself. The members-only area offers a lot more website promotion strategies, marketing tools and training.

Besides this, I found Portal Feeder to be much more than simply an advanced piece of software. More important than that, is the willingness to help of all the members inside the club. While each person is assigned a personal mentor to help and guide them through the process, all of the mentors are on hand to provide assistance to anyone who asks. This takes place through the forums boards.

That is one of he places you will find yourself retuning to again and again if you join. The conversation and the advice made available there is a huge help. In fact, there are dozens of very successful Internet marketing experts available, who are willing to help and answer questions.

Let me break down the extra pieces of Portal Feeder:

The forum: as I said, the forum lets you engage, discuss and learn from other members. In fact some of the top members have superb SEO skills and make over $10,00 per month. Needless to say, there is a lot of activity on the forums every day, unlike some membership sites where the conversation fizzles out after a few weeks. I check the forum at least once a day if only to take some motivation from the success stories:-

The Training Program: this is the fastest way to get going and start building your portals. They have a host of videos, articles and quick start guides which makes everything easy to understand. I was quite worried about the learning curve, but it is all explained in a step-by-step fashion.

Personal Mentor: Portal Feeder offers every member a personal mentor to help guide, advise and speed the business building progress. Each mentor has their own specialized skill to help people through al stages of the membership.

Some mentors work on the technical aspects while others work on marketing, content creation and so on. Although you are assigned an individual mentor when you sign up, you are not limited to just one. Each of the mentors are very active on the forum boards, and as each has their own unique skill-set, it’s like having a wealth of knowledge and help at your fingertips. This has been responsible for my rapid learning curve.

Is Portal Feeder a worthy investment for beginners?

If you are brand new to the Internet marketing industry, I think portal feeder could offer you a great chance to fast track your learning and implementation at the same time. As I mentioned, there is a learning curve, but you will have all the tools and training under one roof, rather than having to buy multiple products and learning from many industry experts who may simply confuse you.

On of the big benefits is the ongoing training and be able to tap into a group of like-minded people. I have to say that interacting with other people who are on the same journey is an inspiration and has kept me going when I felt like giving up.

Internet marketing can be a lonely profession at times. The truth is that having a strong and encouraging support system in place has certainly helped me to grow and build my online business.

One of my personal weaknesses was (and still is) my time management and lack of motivation to take action. I have found that Portal Feeder provided lasting motivation and gave me a game plan and business plan, which had been lacking for a number of years.

Instead of simply looking for the next best solution, I now have a systematic structure in place. In short, I know that if I follow the plan, I will achieve the results I am looking for. That has proven to be an accurate statement since I joined Portal Feeder.

Quick Summary of what’s included inside the Portal Feeder program:

Do I recommend you join up?

Well, it’s been closed to new members since 2nd May 2007 and has only re-opened due a 2-year anniversary.

The only reason that the owners are allowing new members is due to the natural attrition of people leaving. Over the months a number of people have left for personal reasons and so there are now a limited number of places to fill.

In case you are asking the obvious question, “why did they leave and is it just a clever ploy to attract new members”

Please keep in mind…

The Internet marketing industry can be a fickle place of broken promises and pipe dreams. However, the owners of portal feeder, Jason Potash, Jason Katzenback and Marc Quarles have bucked the trend in many ways by actually keeping their promise and keeping the doors shut as they said they would… until now.

Stated a little differently, they have refused to let any new members join the program regardless of money or criticism and they don’t look like changing their ways.

That means that if you are at all interested in finding out more, or if you know you want to sign up, then you must add your name and email address to the waiting list. Only those on the waiting list have a chance to grab a place when the doors finally open!

And the best thing is that they offer a full 30 day money back guarentee, so you can give it a go for a full 30 days without any risk!
